Fry, a new low-thrills bar in downtown Bentonville, is now open at 100 S.W. Second St.

The bar is accessible only through an alley and is near The First Seat Pub & Grill. The Pastrami Wagon, a sandwich-focused food truck, shares a patio with Fry.

Owner Kyle Reidy learned Wednesday, Feb. 11, that Fry’s alcohol permit had been approved and opened quietly that day. While Fry plans to offer mixed drinks, it is currently only serving beer and wine.

A grand opening on Friday kicked off a successful weekend in which the bar sold out of drinks. After a brief break to restock, Fry will reopen Wednesday, according to an Instagram post from the bar.

Reidy was previously co-owner of Bentonville Dive, which closed in late 2024.

That bar was known as an affordable downtown option, a legacy Fry continues with beers priced between $3.50 and $7.

Fry’s name is inspired by seahorses, and the space features seahorse-themed murals by Bentonville-based artist Morgan Young.

Why seahorses? Because Reidy likes them.

“I feel like some people wish that I had an interesting story. I just love seahorses. A ‘fry’ is a baby seahorse, and it stuck with me. And I dug the name,” Reidy told The Bentonville Bulletin last year.
