Bentonville is getting a karaoke bar.

Big Box Karaoke is expanding from its original location in Fayetteville, with plans to open in the Ice Box Building at 406 SE 5th Street this fall.

The new location will feature seven private suites for individual groups.

The original Big Box Karaoke location opened in Fayetteville in 2018. Mailena and Justin Urso, the husband-and-wife duo behind the business, say that in the nearly decade since, they’ve welcomed more than 120,000 guests.

In 2020, they began researching a second location, considering sites across Northwest Arkansas as well as nearby cities like Tulsa, Springfield and Little Rock. The COVID-19 pandemic slowed those plans, but now the couple says they’re ready to take a big swing.

“Over the past several years we’ve explored multiple opportunities to expand, but they never quite came together,” the couple wrote in an announcement. “Looking back, we truly believe everything happened the way it was supposed to.”

Plans were recently announced to redevelop the Ice House building, although construction is not expected to begin until 2028. Justin Urso confirmed they have a “long term lease,” but did not specify the number of years.
