The City of Bentonville is opening a new e-bike rebate application period today, which will run through July 14 at 10:00 a.m.

Rebates are available to residents for standard, mountain, adaptive, or cargo e-bikes. Income-qualified applicants can receive $900 for a standard or mountain e-bike, and $1,300 for a cargo or adaptive model. For non-income-qualified applicants, rebate amounts are $500 and $900, respectively.

Because the rebates must be redeemed at local bike shops, the program has boosted sales for area retailers, as The Bentonville Bulletin previously reported:

According to the city, anyone who applied but was not selected in a previous round will automatically be entered into this drawing. The program is entirely privately funded, with support from Walmart and the Walton family.
