Clementine’s Ice Cream Now Open in Bentonville. Some Flavors Are Booze-Infused.

Clementine’s Ice Cream, known for its small-batch ice cream and booze-infused “naughty” flavors, is now open on the new Walmart home office campus.

The company started with a single location in St. Louis about a decade ago and has since grown to 11 locations, most of them in Missouri. This is its first location in Arkansas.

The shop is located at 1410 SE 8th St., Suite 6, but many GPS systems are still struggling to navigate the new campus. For now, it’s more helpful to refer to this map (click to expand).

Founder Tamara Keefe was on hand for the opening and described the shop as a creamery version of a microbrewery. The ice cream is “small batch,” meaning “a real person stands in front of the real machine” to make it.

Nearly everything is made in house, including hot fudge, caramel, and the ingredients mixed into the ice cream.

Some of the flavors are labeled “nice,” while others are “naughty,” meaning they are infused with alcohol flavors and require an ID check.

The “naughty” flavors include Manhattan, a take on the classic cocktail that includes the flavors of bourbon and sweet vermouth, and Pink Champagne Sorbet, described as a “delightful fusion of sparkling wine and fruity sorbet.”

“You can't get drunk on them,” Keefe said. “You'd get sicker off the lactose in the ice cream before you'd ever get a buzz or anything, but it’s something fun and innovative for adults.”

The shop also offers dairy-free and vegan options, and the ice cream is gluten free unless otherwise specified. Each year, the chain offers kosher-certified options around certain Jewish holidays.

“I’m known for catering to segments of the population that other people don’t, that they don’t care about, they don’t think it’s big enough, they don’t bother with,” Keefe said. “I am very in tune with all the dietary restrictions.”

The menu features about 20 flavors in all, with a mix of regular offerings and rotating options.

Clementine’s Ice Cream is open Sunday through Thursday from noon to 10 p.m., and Friday and Saturday from noon to 11 p.m.
