Botanic’s Big Move: Bentonville Plant Store Triples in Size

Local plant store Botanic has tripled its retail space by moving to 1004 SE 5th Street.

Just like at previous locations, owner Hannah Graff welcomes fellow plant lovers to stop by and shop — or just get some free advice.

“People literally will open our doors carrying a plant and be like, ‘Help. It's so sad. What do I do? What does it need?’” she said.

The shop is an extension of Botanic's main business: creating and maintaining indoor plant displays in local businesses and homes.

Karaoke Bar Coming to Bentonville

Bentonville is getting a karaoke bar.

Big Box Karaoke is expanding from its original location in Fayetteville, with plans to open in the Ice Box Building at 406 SE 5th Street this fall.

The new location will feature seven private suites.

Down Syndrome Connection of Northwest Arkansas Celebrates 20 Years

When Nicole Terry first received the news of a prenatal Down Syndrome diagnosis during her pregnancy six years ago, she and her husband found themselves navigating a complex spectrum of emotions.

When a representative from Down Syndrome Connection of Northwest Arkansas (DSCNWA) reached out to the couple, Terry said it changed everything. Connecting with others who had navigated the same path gave her a perspective she hadn't found elsewhere.

Centerton Mayor Won’t Seek Re-Election, But May Stick Around City Hall — and Facebook

Now 16 years into the job, Centerton Mayor Bill Edwards has decided not to seek re-election.

During his time in office, the population of Centerton has nearly tripled, from 9,515 to an estimated 25,745.

Throughout his tenure, he’s been a prolific Facebook poster, using the platform to connect with community members. So far this year, he’s averaged more than 20 posts a week across two accounts.
