April marks one year since The Bentonville Bulletin launched!
There’s a lot to be excited about — 10,000 people now subscribe to our email updates, and we’ve posted over 300 news updates on our website about a range of community issues.
But the funds we had to launch this project are dwindling, and while our advertising base is growing, that alone isn’t enough to sustain this lean local news operation.
In April, we hope to double the amount of reader support we receive so we can keep publishing news updates. If we can meet this goal, I feel great about our chances of making it to a second birthday.
For context, as of March 28, reader contributions total about $1,300 per month.
Local journalism is a great investment. You can help the people and organizations you read about in our newsletters. You can meet new friends at the events we share. You can become more connected to your community.
I believe this community news project has a bright future — if we can secure enough support for it today.
Feel free to reach out with any questions,
